Colegio San Miguel Arcángel celebrates 115 years of history, faith and service in Linares

Colegio San Miguel Arcángel celebrated 115 years of service in Linares on October 2. The ceremony brought together the bishop of Linares, students, families, teachers, and former students to mark the institution's history in the city.

The school began in 1911 as Escuela Parroquial Arturo Prat. Following the creation of the Diocese of San Ambrosio de Linares in 1921, it became Escuela Particular N.º 3 San Miguel Arcángel and moved to its current location on Colo Colo Street. The institution began high school instruction in 2005 and later became Colegio San Miguel Arcángel de Linares. It currently operates as a Liceo Bicentenario.

Local officials attended the event, including the mayor of Linares, the provincial delegate of Linares, and representatives from the army and police.
