Colloquium on St Bernard’s On Consideration

The Pontifical Athenaeum Sant’Anselmo in Rome will host a colloquium titled “Governing Oneself, Governing Others: Bernard of Clairvaux’s On Consideration” from November 17 to 20, 2026.

The event examines St. Bernard’s work De consideratione, which he wrote to Pope Eugene III. Participants will discuss the text's reflections on service, authority, self-knowledge, and Church governance. Sant’Anselmo will provide a link to allow people to attend the conferences online.
