Bishops of Mozambique reflect on the violent death of Dom Osório Citora Afonso

Bishops of Mozambique expressed their grief and frustration over the violent death of Bishop Osório Citora Afonso during an extraordinary plenary assembly of the Mozambican Episcopal Conference. The bishops lamented that authorities have not yet provided answers regarding the circumstances of his death. They encouraged continued efforts to uncover the truth behind the incident.

During the meeting, the conference also appointed two bishops to assist Bishop Estevão Ângelo, the Apostolic Administrator of Quelimane.
