Bishop Vincenzo Viva mourns death of don Mauro Verani

Bishop Vincenzo Viva of Albano expressed his condolences following the death of Father Mauro Verani on Saturday morning, October 3. Verani was 67 years old.

Verani previously served as the parish priest of Santa Rita da Cascia in Cava dei Selci and was a canon of the Cathedral of Albano. In a statement, Bishop Viva thanked God for Verani's life and ministry, noting that the community remembers him with affection and prayer.

Funeral services for Verani are scheduled for Monday, October 5, at 11 a.m. at the Santa Rita da Cascia parish in Cava dei Selci, Marino.
