Pater John Ikundu reports on humanitarian crisis in Tschad

Father John Ikundu, a Comboni missionary, reports that Chad is facing one of the largest humanitarian crises in Africa. Since the conflict in neighboring Sudan began in April 2023, more than 1.5 million people have crossed the border into Chad.

Ikundu stated that Chad is the most significant host country in Africa relative to its population size. However, the country suffers from an acute lack of medical care, drinking water, and infrastructure to support the influx of people.
