Csi: al via la Festa dello sport 2026

CSI Roma will host the 2026 Sports Festival starting October 19 across various parishes and youth centers in Rome. The nine-day program offers free activities for children aged 5 to 12 to encourage play, socialization, and motor skills development.

The festival begins at the Oratorio padre Antonio Gentili in municipality XIV. Subsequent events will take place at eight other locations during morning or afternoon sessions. Scheduled locations include the S. Anna parish club on September 26, S. Giovanni Bosco parish on September 27, San Josemaria Escrivà on October 3, and the Oratorio S. Vincenzo de Paoli on October 4. The schedule continues at San Giovanni XXIII on October 10, San Giuseppe Artigiano on October 11, Gesù Bambino a Sacco Pastore on October 17, and Santissimo Crocifisso on October 18.

CSI Roma stated the project aims to prevent sports dropout, a phenomenon where approximately 30% of children stop playing sports as they enter pre-adolescence. The organization noted this often happens due to premature competitive specialization that does not match a child's natural abilities. The project was promoted by Roma Capitale and selected through a public notice for initiatives of interest to the city administration in collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura.
