Cultivating authentic friendships through love, trust and grace

Julie Huss founded the Wine & Wisdom ministry to help Catholic and Christian women in Northeast Wisconsin build Christ-centered friendships through fellowship and witness talks. The ministry, which focuses on vulnerability and trust, began in August 2025 after Huss agreed to revive a previous program called Wine & Witness.

Huss, a parishioner at Holy Cross Parish in Kaukauna, started the group after discussing the need for a women's ministry with Dave Goeser. Goeser has led a similar ministry for men called Hops & Hope for 10 years. Huss worked with Goeser and his wife to organize the practical details of the new ministry.

The ministry operates on a zero-dollar budget and uses free-will offerings to pay guest speakers. Huss stated that the ministry does not keep any funds, as all collected money goes directly to the speakers.
