D. Mario Iceta, Arzobispo de Burgos, preside la Fiesta de la Exaltación de la Cruz y su procesión después de ocho meses

Archbishop Mario Iceta presided over the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross and its procession in Burgos on September 14. This marks the first time the event has been held in eight months, following the archbishop's recovery from an illness that kept him in confinement for seven months.

Before the procession, the Cathedral hosted a solemn Mass led by Archbishop Iceta and concelebrated by Fidel Herráez. During his homily, Iceta expressed his desire to care for his flock despite his recent period of isolation.

Thousands of people joined the procession to follow the Santo Cristo de Burgos. 60 members of the Siete Palabras brotherhood carried the image through Plaza del Rey San Fernando, Paseo de la Audiencia, and Calle Asunción de Nuestra Señora. The event included members of the Santa Hermandad del Cristo de Burgos, various religious brotherhoods, and political, academic, and military authorities.
