D. Miguel Abril toma posesión como párroco de la Concatedral y deán-presidente del Cabildo

Miguel Abril took possession as the new parish priest of the Co-Cathedral of Santa María de Castellón and as the dean-president of the Co-Cathedral Chapter. Bishop Casimiro López Llorente of Segorbe-Castellón presided over the ceremony.

Before the Mass, Abril, David Barrios, and Ángel Cumbicos took possession as new canons of the Co-Cathedral Chapter during a meeting in the chapter room. This step was required by the statutes to allow Abril to assume the role of dean-president. The three new canons made a profession of faith and an oath of fidelity.

During the liturgy, the appointments were read aloud as a procession moved to the presbytery. Following the reading, the new canons were escorted by their sponsors to their assigned seats in the Co-Cathedral choir to formalize their incorporation into the Chapter.
