Da Frosinone all’Amazzonia: cerimonia a ricordo di padre Vittorio Iacovissi

The Impegno association and the family of Father Vittorio Iacovissi will hold a memorial ceremony on Saturday, September 19, at 17:30 at the Sant’Antonio parish church in Frosinone. The event commemorates the priest, who died on August 21, 2025, in Florentia Torasso, Colombia, and will include reflections on the meaning of being missionaries today.

Father Iacovissi was 85 years old. Born in Frosinone on February 27, 1940, he was ordained a diocesan priest on September 11, 1965, by Bishop Giuseppe Marafini of the Diocese of Veroli. He joined the Institute of the Consolata in 1969 and served in the forest of Colombia on the border with Ecuador. He made his perpetual profession on March 1, 1974, in Puerto Rico. He spent 59 years in the priesthood.
