Dalle diocesi, la Giornata per la Custodia del Creato

The Diocese of Savona-Noli is serving as the national center for the 21st Day for the Custody of Creation, held today and tomorrow. This year's event draws inspiration from a verse in Isaiah to encourage turning conflict into peace and sharing responsibility for caring for the common home.

The program, promoted by the CEI offices for social issues and labor and for ecumenism and interreligious dialogue, includes a morning session at the Auditorium of Santa Caterina in Finalborgo. Muriel Fleury from the Dicastero per il Servizio dello Sviluppo Umano Integrale, along with CEI directors don Bruno Bignami and don Giuliano Savina, will discuss the connection between protecting the Creator, the responsibilities of religious communities, and building peace. Bishop Calogero Marino of Savona-Noli will deliver the concluding remarks.

In the afternoon, participants will take part in the Acqua viva ecological walk, which travels from the ex fabbrica Stoppani in Cogoleto to the convent of the Frati Minori in Varazze. The walk will feature testimonies from various Christian and religious traditions.
