Father Felipe Vives serves as a vicar at the Immaculate Conception Church in Grand Prairie after experiencing a religious calling that began when he was 16 years old.

Vives said his sense of vocation gained clarity during a Camino Neocatecumenal retreat. The retreat focused on the biblical story of God calling Abraham to leave his homeland and begin a journey. Vives said he felt God telling him to leave his land and walk to fulfill His will.
