Deacon John (Jack) Lyons

Deacon John “Jack” Lyons, a member of All Saints Parish in Clearwater, died on Saturday, September 26, 2026, following health complications. He served the Diocese of Saint Petersburg for 29 years before retiring several years ago due to declining health.

The Diocese of Saint Petersburg announced that a visitation will take place at Curlew Hills Funeral Home in Palm Harbor on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The funeral mass is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. that same day at All Saints Catholic Church.

Following the mass, the family will cremate Deacon Lyons, with interment to be scheduled at a later date. Deacons attending the service are asked to bring their alb and a white and gold dalmatic if they wish to vest. He is survived by his wife, Jean, three children, and six grandchildren.
