Arhidieceza de București opens 2026–2027 Pastoral Year for Youth: Assisi Fest

The Archdiocese of București opened its 2026–2027 pastoral year for young people with Assisi Fest on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Held at the Mănăstirea Franciscană Preasfânta Treime de la Pârâul Rece, the event brought together adolescents, young people, and pastoral workers.

The Centrul Diecezan pentru Pastorația Tineretului organized the festival in collaboration with local Franciscan brothers. The event centered on the image of Saint Francis of Assisi, marking 800 years since his passing. The program also followed the diocesan theme, "Am primit o credință. O trăim. O transmitem mai departe."

Participants engaged in spiritual activities, including a pilgrimage with the Rosary, the Holy Liturgy, and a catechesis moderated by Pr. Ioan Butacu. Other activities included a talent show, games, food stands, creative workshops, and a raffle.
