Día de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores: ver en el paciente el rostro de Cristo

Bishop Alberto Lorenzelli presided over a Mass at the San Lucas Chapel of the Hospital Clínico UC CHRISTUS for the Día Nacional del Enfermo and the feast of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores. The service, organized by the Red de Salud UC CHRISTUS, included patients, families, medical teams, volunteers, and members of the pastoral hospital community.

The Mass was concelebrated by Father Pablo García-Huidobro and Father Marco Henríquez. Children from the Escuela Hospitalaria also attended.

During his homily, Bishop Lorenzelli spoke about accompanying those in pain, using the example of Mary at the foot of Calvary. He noted that although Mary could not remove the pain of her son or change what was happening, she remained present.
