Dia Diocesano 2026 reuniu cerca de 300 pessoas e encerrou com Eucaristia presidida pelo Núncio Apostólico

Around 300 people from all deaneries of the Diocese of Beja gathered at the Beja Seminary for Diocesan Day 2026. The event, held under the theme "Beja, Walking in Hope – Communion, Participation, and Mission," served as a meeting to launch the new pastoral year.

During the morning prayer at the Chapel of Our Lady of Fatima, Bishop Fernando Paiva blessed and sent out missionaries who will join pastoral visit teams. These teams will soon begin visiting communities to introduce the upcoming episcopal visits, contact families door-to-door, and encourage community participation.

The day concluded with a Mass at the Beja Cathedral presided over by the Apostolic Nuncio to Portugal. During the welcome session, Bishop Paiva thanked participants for coming from across the large territory and described the gathering as a sign of a diocese that functions as a single family.
