Dia Diocesano 2026 reuniu cerca de 300 pessoas e encerrou com Eucaristia presidida pelo Núncio Apostólico

Around 300 people from all deaneries of the Diocese of Beja gathered at the Beja Seminary for the 2026 Diocesan Day. The event, held under the theme "Beja, Walking in Hope – Communion, Participation and Mission," served as a meeting to launch the pastoral year.

During the morning prayer at the Chapel of Our Lady of Fatima, Bishop Fernando Paiva blessed and sent out missionaries who will join pastoral visit teams. These teams will soon begin work to prepare local communities for the bishop's upcoming visits by introducing him, contacting families door-to-door, and encouraging community participation.

The day concluded with a Mass at the Beja Cathedral presided over by the Apostolic Nuncio to Portugal. During a welcome session, Bishop Paiva thanked participants for coming from across the vast territory and described the gathering as a sign of a diocese that recognizes itself as one family.
