Diacres : servir à la manière de saint François

The Church in Quebec will observe the 16th Provincial Day of Permanent Diaconate on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. This year's observance honors Saint Francis of Assisi, who was a deacon.

The day aims to promote the vocation and mission of permanent deacons and invites Christian communities to pray for them, their wives, their families, and men preparing for the ministry. There are more than 400 deacons in Quebec.

In the Diocese of Saint-Hyacinthe, the celebration will take place on Saturday, October 3, at 4 p.m. Bishop Christian Rodembourg will preside over the Eucharistic celebration at the Immaculate Conception Church in Granby. The mass will be televised.
