Dieceza de Szeged-Csanád hosts 420 youth at interdiocesan meeting

The Diocese of Szeged-Csanád hosted 420 young people for the second interdiocesan youth meeting on Saturday, September 19. Held at the Szent Gellért Forum sports complex in Szeged, the gathering brought together participants from the Diocese of Zrenjanin, the Diocese of Szeged-Csanád, and the Diocese of Timișoara.

The meeting served as spiritual preparation for the 1000th anniversary of the founding of the Episcopía de Cenad, which the dioceses will celebrate together in 2030. This follows a previous meeting held in 2025 in Cenad within the Diocese of Timișoara.

According to Father Elias Ohoiledwarin, SVD, 35 young people traveled from the Diocese of Zrenjanin to attend. Approximately 150 people arrived from the Diocese of Timișoara.
