Diocese of Ancona–Osimo holds 44th Festa del Mare

The Diocese of Ancona–Osimo held its 44th Festa del Mare on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The event featured a procession and Holy Mass at the San Francesco dock in the port of Ancona.

The theme for this year's celebration was "A sea of peace," which honors the eighth centenary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi. The day of prayer and celebration served as an invitation to peace, fraternity, and hospitality based on the teachings of the saint of Assisi.
