Diocese of Assisi–Nocera Umbra–Gualdo Tadino celebrates 155 years of the Serafico Institute

The Diocese of Assisi–Nocera Umbra–Gualdo Tadino marks 155 years of the Serafico Institute, an organization dedicated to supporting people with disabilities.

The institute opened on September 17, 1871, when San Ludovico da Casoria established the facility to serve students who lacked access to education or independence. The first group admitted to the institute included 3 deaf students and 2 blind students.
