Diocese of Bac Ninh holds 20th death anniversary Mass for Bishop Giuse Maria Nguyễn Quang Tuyến

The Bac Ninh Parish held a Mass at the Bac Ninh Cathedral on Thursday evening, September 24, 2026, to mark the 20th anniversary of the death of the late Bishop Giuse Maria Nguyễn Quang Tuyến. The liturgy also served to remember and pray for previous leaders who served the Diocese of Bac Ninh.

Father Phêrô Nguyễn Công Văn presided over the Mass, joined by Father Phanxicô Xaviê Bùi Quang Thuận and other priests. Deacons, religious brothers and sisters, and many parishioners attended the service.

During the Mass, Father Phêrô invited the community to reflect on the difficult pastoral journey of Bishop Giuse Maria and other predecessors in the Bac Ninh region. Father Giuse Nguyễn Văn Hoạch shared a reflection using the parable of the sower to describe the late bishop's ministry, noting his efforts to spread faith in the mission fields and outlying areas of the diocese.
