Diocese of Caicó to celebrate São Francisco de Assis 2026

The Diocese of Caicó is celebrating the feast of its patron, St. Francis of Assisi, from September 23 to October 3, 2026. This year's festivities mark the 15th anniversary of the diocese's canonical erection.

The diocese chose the theme "As the Father has sent me, so I send you" based on John 20:21. The celebration also honors the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis and coincides with the diocese's missionary triennium. According to an official message from the diocese, the event serves to thank God for the past 15 years, remember those who helped establish the diocese, and renew the community's commitment to missionary work.
