Diocese of Cametá participates in COMIRE Norte 2 Assembly

The Diocesan Missionary Council of the Diocese of Cametá participated in the elective assembly of the COMIRE Norte 2 Regional Missionary Council from September 18 to 20, 2026. Held at the CNBB headquarters in Belém, the meeting brought together representatives from missionary councils across various dioceses in the Norte 2 region.

Participants used the assembly to reflect on missionary work, engage in spiritual formation, and plan future activities. The program included a review of past experiences and challenges faced by the regional council and individual diocesan councils. Attendees also received training regarding the 2026 missionary theme to address current Church mission commitments.

The assembly resulted in the election of a new coordination team for COMIRE Norte 2, which will lead the regional missionary efforts in the coming term. Additionally, the group established specific actions for diocesan missionary councils to implement in the following months to improve regional coordination and formation.
