Diocese of Campos holds Dia Nacional da Juventude 2026

The Diocese of Campos held the 2026 National Youth Day on Sunday, September 20, at Rancho Gabriela in Campos dos Goytacazes. The event brought together more than 2,000 young people for prayer, praise, and testimonies.

The program featured Catholic musicians and evangelizers, including Aline Brasil, Juninho Cassimiro, and siblings Giovanni and Kayan from the St. John Paul II Fraternity. Inspired by Franciscan spirituality, the event was organized by the youth sector of the diocese.

During the celebrations, Bishop Roberto Francisco encouraged the attendees to take on leadership roles and responsibilities within society. He urged the youth to overcome apathy and base their public actions on Gospel values, specifically emphasizing justice, dialogue, and Franciscan spirituality. Father João Paulo Rodrigues, the ecclesiastical advisor, also spoke about the active role young people play in community life and the building of the kingdom of God.
