Diocese of Curitiba hosts 2nd Cassian Retreat

The Diocese of Curitiba will host the 2nd Cassiano Retreat on November 21 for devotees of Saint Rita of Cascia and those interested in her spirituality. The event, themed "Saint Rita and the art of starting over," uses the biblical passage "My grace is sufficient for you" to encourage participants to reflect on their personal histories through faith.

The retreat focuses on how Saint Rita's life of challenges and conflicts can serve as a model for reparation and restoration. The program is organized into three dimensions: the relationship with God, with others, and with oneself. Participants will engage in prayer, preaching, testimonies, adoration, group sharing, and the Holy Mass.

The schedule includes a session on Saint Rita's relationship with God led by Father Gilberto Oliveira, OSA, the parish priest of Nossa Senhora da Cabeça in Curitiba. Another session regarding Saint Rita's relationship with others will be led by journalist Kátia Vanzini. The day concludes with a musical performance.
