Diocese of Dourados hosts 12,000+ youth at Santuário Diocesano de Nossa Senhora Aparecida

More than 12,000 young people gathered at the Santuário Diocesano de Nossa Senhora Aparecida in Dourados on September 27 for the 2026 Diocesan Youth Journey. The event brought together participants from various parishes within the Diocese of Dourados and neighboring regions of the state through more than 40 registered caravans.

Bishop Henrique Aparecido de Lima, C.Ss.R., presided over the Holy Mass. During his homily, the bishop stated that young people are the present of the Church and encouraged them to be active protagonists in the current mission and evangelization of the community rather than just its future.

The program included prayer, adoration, music, and the sacrament of confession. Participants also engaged in spiritual activities and sharing led by Missionário Shalom, Colo de Deus, DJ Roony Moura, and Marcos Natan.
