Diocese of Karwar holds Marriage Preparation Course

The Diocese of Karwar conducted a marriage preparation course from October 2 to 4, 2026, at the Puneeth Sadan DPC Hall in Shirwad. The program included 43 participants and provided spiritual and practical training for Christian marriage and family life.

Instructors led sessions on topics such as Canon Law, family finance, communication, intimacy, and relationships with parents and in-laws. Other sessions covered human anatomy, the complementarity of men and women, and pro-life teachings. Participants also engaged in group discussions, interactions, and skits.

The course featured spiritual activities including the Holy Eucharist, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Adoration, and the Divine Office. Delwin and Jerita D’Souza, a couple married for two years, shared their personal experiences of married life with the group. Priests Cyprian Silva and Valento Fernandes, along with several lay instructors, led the various sessions.
