Diocese of Kerry hosts Season of Creation event

The Millstreet church community hosted a Season of Creation event for the Diocese of Kerry. Organized with the diocesan Justice, Peace and Care of Creation Committee, the event featured 12 stops along a path to highlight local biodiversity efforts.

Participants visited various sites, including a wildflower area, a sacred space, a swift project, and a vegetable garden grown by Cloghoula school. The program included music, an information table, and the planting of a crab apple tree. The event showcased biodiversity work being done across the Millstreet, Cullen, and Ballydaly churches through photo displays and volunteer participation.

Bishop Ray attended the gathering, which included students from Millstreet Community School and volunteers ranging from gardeners to young vegetable growers. Attendees received onion, carrot, and strawberry plants to use in their own parish gardens.
