Diocese of Latina–Terracina–Sezze–Priverno hosts Pre-Festival of Civil Economy

The Diocese of Latina–Terracina–Sezze–Priverno will host the national Pre-Festival of Civil Economy on September 15 at 17.30 at the Palazzo Comunale di Latina. The event focuses on the theme of housing and social inclusion.

The Diocese of Latina Caritas, the Province of Latina, and the Comune di Latina are organizing the gathering. Organizers stated that the discussion will address housing as a social and economic infrastructure that reveals national inequalities and the strength of the social contract. The event aims to examine how fiscal policy, cooperation between economic and social groups, and solidarity can address the housing crisis, urban loneliness, and rising costs.

Matilde Celentano, the mayor of Latina, Federico Carnevale, president of the Province of Latina, and Bishop Mariano Crociata will provide institutional greetings. Scheduled speakers include Leonardo Becchetti, director of the Festival and co-founder of NeXt Economia; Lorenzo Semplici, director of Centro Studi e valutazioni NeXt-Economia; Annalisa Muzio, assessore for Urbanistica Comune di Latina; Benedetto Delle Site, national president of Giovani Ucid; and Gianpiero Cioffredi, coordinator of Libera Lazio.
