Diocese of Málaga celebrates Santa Eufemia with triduo, procession and oldest mass

The Diocese of Málaga will celebrate the feast of Saint Euphemia in Antequera with a triduum, a procession, and a votive Mass. The procession on Sunday starts at 18.00 hours from the Saint Euphemia temple. The route travels through San Pedro street to Santiago Plaza, where the first candle will be offered to the patron saint's image. The procession continues through Lucena street, Duranes, and San Francisco Plaza, where the second candle will be lit. The procession concludes at 21 hours back at Santiago Plaza with a third candle.

Additional religious services are scheduled for the following days. On Tuesday, September 15, Teresa Molina will lead prayers to the saint at 23.30 hours. The feast day on Wednesday, September 16, includes a votive Mass at 20 hours presided over by parish priest Francisco de Paula Aurioles. This Mass is noted as the oldest celebrated in the diocese. The temple will also be open to the public from 11 to 13.30 hours and from 17 until the Mass begins.
