Diocese of Memphis Office of the Diaconate to release video series

The Office of the Diaconate for the Catholic Diocese of Memphis is releasing a new video series titled The Deacon Corner to encourage men to apply for the permanent diaconate. The series features current deacons discussing their personal calls to service.

The diocese will release two videos every Monday afternoon for seven weeks. The first week features Deacon Nafy Barrera and Deacon Bill Winston, who discuss their experiences serving the Church.

The series aims to help men discerning a vocation consider applying for the new deacon cohort scheduled to begin in 2027. Interested men can contact the office via email or through the diocesan diaconate and vocations webpages.
