Diocese of Mondoñedo-Ferrol organizes first-time event for 2026-2027 school year

Bishop Fernando García will preside over a Mass on Thursday, September 17, to mark the start of the 2026-2027 school year in the Diocese of Mondoñedo-Ferrol. The event, held at the San Xiao Co-cathedral in Ferrol, is the first of its kind organized by the diocese and is open to teachers, non-teaching staff, families, and students.

The Mass will conclude with a ceremony to send off religion teachers receiving their mission this year. Before the liturgy, a training session will take place at 17:30 to discuss the encyclical Magnifica Humanitas and the educational challenges of artificial intelligence.
