Diocese of Novara remembers deceased priests

The Diocese of Novara is remembering deceased priests on September 24. According to the diocese, the priests being honored are Giacomo Ambrosetti, Biagio Pollastri, and Giuseppe Amiotti.

Giacomo Ambrosetti, born in Cannobio in 1865, was ordained in 1892. He served in Cavaglià S. Quirico from 1913 to 1920 before resigning and retiring to Barge, where he died at age 71.

Biagio Pollastri, born in Alessandria in 1871, was ordained in 1898. He served in Cireggio, Fomarco, Divignano, Talonno, and Oleggio Bedisco. After resigning the benefit of Oleggio in 1937, he lived in private life and died in Arona at age 80.

Giuseppe Amiotti, born in Varallo Sesia in 1903, was ordained in 1925. He served as a missionary in Mozambique and Angola from 1925 to 1941, as a military chaplain from 1941 to 1943, and in Arola and Sabbia. He served in Carpugnino from 1952 until his death at age 78.
