Diocese of Novara remembers deceased priests

The Diocese of Novara is remembering several deceased priests on October 9. According to the diocese, the list of priests commemorated includes Andrea Bairati, who died at age 49, Carlo Moroni, who served as parish priest of Cesara from 1905 to 1925, and Giuseppe Cassani, who served as dean of Stresa.

Other priests remembered are Colombo Ganzi, who served in Campertogno and Invorio Inferiore, and Giuseppe Curti, who retired due to illness. The diocese also honors Monsignor Carlo Giani, who served in Bicocca, Omegna, and Mezzomerico, and Alberto Boschi.

The commemoration includes Eugenio Pacelli, who was born in Rome and served as a professor and apostolic nuncio in Germany and Berlin before becoming Cardinal. He was elected Pope on March 2, 1939, taking the name Pius XII.
