Diocese of Ostrava-Opava to offer tour of adoration chapel construction site

The Diocese of Ostrava-Opava will host a tour of the construction site for a new adoration chapel and episcopal tomb at the Cathedral of Božského Spasitele on Saturday, October 3. The tour is part of Architecture Day and offers the public a look behind the high barrier that has separated the construction site from the rest of the cathedral since last Advent.

Architect Marek Štěpán, who designed the chapel and the bishops' tomb, will lead the walk. The program begins at 10:00 at the MAPPA on Nádražní Street with a guided tour of the exhibition Svatostánky a obýváky, which showcases Štěpán's work. Participants will then move to the cathedral.
