Diocese of San Carlos de Ancud holds XV Diocesan Walk

The Diocese of San Carlos de Ancud will hold its 15th Diocesan Walk on Saturday, October 3. The pilgrimage will bring together children, youth, adults, and families from Chiloé, Palena, and Guaitecas to walk from the Nuestra Señora de Gracia Church in Nercón to the San Francisco Church in Castro.

The event follows the theme "Virgin of Carmel, lead us to Jesus" to mark the centenary of the coronation of the Virgin of Carmel as Queen and Patroness of Chile. The Diocese stated the walk serves as an opportunity for pastoral communities to reunite, share their faith, and express hope.

The journey begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Nercón church. Participants will walk toward the center of Castro accompanied by songs and prayers. The walk will conclude at San Francisco Church with a blessing for all attendees.
