Diocese of San Carlos de Ancud holds youth gathering

Youth from across the Diocese of San Carlos de Ancud gathered in Castro on Saturday, October 3, for a diocesan youth meeting. The event, held under the theme "Our Lady of Mount Carmel, lead us to Jesus," took place at the Luis Uribe Díaz School gymnasium because of bad weather.

The gathering included young people from various communities accompanied by adults. Participants engaged in music and dance activities led by the Colegio Ramón Freire of Achao, followed by an activity involving three representatives from each parish or school. The program included adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with a traveling image of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Participants processed from the school to the San Francisco de Castro temple for the celebration of the Eucharist. The diocese noted that the meeting held special meaning during the 100 years of the coronation of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
