Diocese of Siena–Colle di Val d’Elsa–Montalcino celebrates San Francesco di Assisi

The Diocese of Siena–Colle di Val d’Elsa–Montalcino and the Diocese of Montepulciano–Chiusi–Pienza will host an event called The Night of the Saint on October 2, 2026. The celebration honors Saint Francis of Assisi through music and other activities.

The event marks the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis and takes place during a special Franciscan year requested by the Pope. Organizers intend to celebrate the saint, who is noted for his popularity among young people and new generations.

Registration for the event is free. The Diocese of Siena–Colle di Val d’Elsa–Montalcino reports that registration is open until September 11, while the Diocese of Montepulciano–Chiusi–Pienza lists a deadline of September 10.
