Diocese of Toledo convenes diocesan day

The Diocese of Toledo will hold a pastoral year kickoff day on Saturday, September 26, at the San Julián parish and the assembly hall of the Ntra. Sra. de los Infantes diocesan school. The event will introduce the materials and guidelines for the second year of the XXVI Diocesan Synod.

The Synod delegation, led by Enrique del Álamo, the episcopal vicar for laity, family, and life, stated in a letter to the community that the gathering builds upon the experiences and discernment from the previous year. The team plans to focus on listening to God through a Christian perspective. The theme for this pastoral year is "You have words of eternal life," taken from the Gospel of John.

The five priests on the Synod delegation have invited members of pastoral councils from all parishes, as well as members of movements, associations, and consecrated life communities, to attend the meeting.
