Diocese of Venice pilgrims visit National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

More than 300 pilgrims from the Diocese of Venice traveled to the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche in St. Augustine during the weekend of Oct. 10-11, 2026. Bishop Emilio E. Biosca, O.F.M. Cap., led the group and participated in an overnight camping gathering with young adults from various parishes before the pilgrimage began.

The young adults arrived in St. Augustine at 2 p.m. on Oct. 10 to set up a campsite at KOA Holiday. Bishop Biosca joined the campers by pitching his own tent and spent time playing dominoes and answering questions from the group. Although storm warnings and thunderstorms threatened the area leading up to the event, the weather cleared for the activities.
