Diocese of Vila Real hosts 600+ scouts

More than 600 scouts, children, and leaders from 18 groups gathered in Montalegre on Saturday, October 10, for the 36th Regional Meeting of the Vila Real Region. Organized by Agrupamento 1115 de Montalegre, the event marked the beginning of the new scouting year.

António Escudeiro, the regional leader for Vila Real, said the meeting allowed members to reunite, strengthen friendships, and renew ties. He noted that the gathering provided an opportunity for groups to share experiences and for many young people to move into new sections. Escudeiro also highlighted the educational role of scouting in helping to form responsible and committed individuals.
