Diocese of Youngstown to Host Fourth Annual Gold Mass Celebration

The Diocese of Youngstown will host its fourth annual Gold Mass on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Saint Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. The event celebrates all diocesan musicians, including parish directors, musicians, and anyone involved in liturgical music.

A concert featuring choral and instrumental music begins at 3:45 p.m., followed by the Mass at 5:00 p.m. A complimentary dinner for all attending musicians will take place after the Mass.

Ralph Holtzhauser, the diocesan director of music and cathedral musician, said the event honors musicians of all experience levels. Those interested in participating in the concert or playing for the Mass should contact Holtzhauser. Attendees must RSVP by October 10 to provide an accurate headcount for the dinner.
