Diócesis de Chillán celebró el tradicional Te Deum de Fiestas Patrias

The Diocese of Chillán celebrated its traditional Te Deum for the national holidays at the Cathedral Church. Bishop Andrés Ferrada Moreira led the ceremony, which brought together regional authorities and the faithful to pray for the nation and the Ñuble Region.

Attendees included presidential delegate Diego Sepúlveda, regional governor Cristóbal Crisóstomo, senators, volunteer representatives, and members of the security forces. Folk singer Juan Godoy Bustos performed musical prayers for the region during the service.

In his homily, Bishop Ferrada Moreira spoke about the social nature of life and the importance of community. He expressed gratitude for the people of Ñuble and noted that the Church owes a debt to those in vulnerable situations. The bishop called for a shared responsibility toward the common good and urged decisive collaboration to combat organized crime and drug trafficking, specifically mentioning support for the Carabineros and the Investigative Police. He also asked for the promotion of the family and the protection of life from conception to natural death. The ceremony concluded with an invocation of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, marking the 100 years of her choir.
