Discuss women’s role in Church at virtual listening sessions
Discerning Deacons will host a series of virtual listening sessions this fall to discuss the role of women in the Church. These two hour meetings, called the St. Phoebe Listening Sessions, aim to explore themes from the final document of the Synod on Synodality issued in 2024.
The organization, which was founded in 2022 to research and promote the inclusion of women in the diaconate, scheduled the sessions for the following dates: Oct. 23 from 6 to 8 a.m.; Oct. 29 from 12 to 2 p.m.; Nov. 10 from 3 to 5 p.m.; and Nov. 14 from 8 to 10 a.m. All times are converted from Eastern time. Interested participants can find registration links at discerningdeacons.org/events.
