Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph host 3,000 at Rosary Pilgrimage in Washington, DC

Approximately 3,000 people gathered at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on Sept. 26 for the fourth annual Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage. The Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph hosted the daylong event in Washington, DC, which featured prayer, talks on Marian prayer, Eucharistic adoration, and the sacrament of reconciliation.

The pilgrimage drew tens of thousands of additional participants through a livestream broadcast. According to Father John Paul Kern, the executive director of the St. Joseph province, an estimated 100,000 Catholics participated in a nine-month novena leading up to the event. Father Patrick Briscoe, the province's promoter general for social communication, noted that the pilgrimage grows in attendance each year.
