Don Barthe. Ritorno al magistero: dieci anni dopo Amoris laetitia

Liturgist and chaplain Claude Barthe argues that the apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia has undermined moral teaching ten years after its release.

In an article published on the Res Novae website on September 1, Barthe examines the effects of the document. He notes that while the Second Vatican Council opened ecclesiology to liberal themes such as religious freedom and ecumenism, previous popes maintained resistance regarding moral doctrine. Barthe references the 1968 encyclical Humanae Vitae and the 1993 encyclical Veritatis Splendor as examples of the Church's efforts to uphold traditional teachings on marriage and procreation.
