Regnum Christi will present Luis Sánchez Ruiz with an Alter Christus Award for his service to the sick and elderly. The award ceremony is scheduled for 19:00 on Monday, November 16, at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria.

Sánchez Ruiz, from the Archdiocese of Valencia, is one of five priests selected for this 13th edition of the awards. Other recipients include Luis Oliver Xuclà and Emilio Palomo Guío for their creativity in parish life, and Aurelio Carrasquilla Jerez from the Diocese of Getafe for his commitment to social ministry and vulnerable people.

The organization will also present a special posthumous award to Monsignor José Antonio Álvarez Sánchez, an auxiliary bishop of Madrid who died in 2025, in recognition of his priestly career and his dedication to the formation and accompaniment of the clergy.
