Don Stefano Rho morto per un malore a 61 anni

Don Stefano Rho died following a sudden illness on Thursday morning, September 17, while in the Alpe Devero mountain area. Medical personnel arriving by helicopter could only confirm the death of the 61-year-old priest.

A priest since 1990, Rho was ordained by Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini. For the past two years, he served as the pastor of the Santi Apostoli and Sant’Anna parishes in Busto Arsizio. His previous assignments included roles as coadjutor in Assago and Villasanta, and as pastor in Bubbiano and Calvignasco starting in 2010.

Parish collaborators noted that Rho worked to introduce new elements to his current community, such as a youth oratory council, and planned to integrate youth mission work and Caritas into local pastoral activities. Members of the San Giovanni Bosco oratory in Villasanta, where he served from 1997 to 2010, remembered him for his long-term dedication to children and young people.
