Bishop Louis Tylka joins Celebrate Sheen Show

Bishop Louis Tylka joined Catholic media personalities and musicians for the Celebrate Sheen Show on September 24. The three-hour program took place at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis shortly before the beatification Mass for Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.

Bishop Tylka, who oversees the cause for canonization of Archbishop Sheen in the Diocese of Peoria, spoke about the global impact of the late archbishop's life. He noted that many people have been waiting for this moment and that a new generation is beginning to learn about Sheen.

The event featured Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan, retired archbishop of New York, and Sister Josephine Garrett. Katie Prejean McGrady emceed the program, which also included musical performances by Matt Maher and Sarah Kroger. Retired Bishop Daniel R. Jenky shared reflections on Archbishop Sheen via video.
